Itamar Ben-Gvir condemned by Jewish community leader

Elie Rosen, President of the Jewish Community for Salzburg, Styria, and Carinthia, has strongly condemned Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir following controversial remarks made during a podcast.

In a podcast titled ‘8. October’ with Rom Braslavski, Ben-Gvir called for the targeted killing of ‘30 to 40’ people in Gaza every night, specifying that these should not only be individuals posing an immediate threat. He stated that some people in Gaza do not deserve to live and are ‘not even human.’

Ben-Gvir also expressed support for Israeli settlements throughout the Gaza Strip and advocated for the widespread emigration of the Palestinian population, noting that his position differs from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Rosen described Ben-Gvir as a ‘shame for the entire Jewish people and a shame for the State of Israel,’ calling for his removal from the government due to his perceived danger to Israel’s internal security and international standing.
