Itamar Ben Gvir pledges to dismantle Palestinian Authority

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has stated that if he is appointed Minister of Defense, he will work toward the displacement of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and Gaza. Speaking to Channel 14, Ben Gvir expressed his intention to dismantle the Palestinian Authority and claimed that 60 percent of Palestinians wish to emigrate.

Ben Gvir asserted that the entire territory, including areas A, B, and C established under the Oslo Accords, belongs to Israel. He also called for reducing restrictions on the use of force by Israeli soldiers in the occupied territories, suggesting that increased use of force would reduce the need for manpower.

These statements come weeks before the Knesset elections on October 27, as Ben Gvir seeks to strengthen his position within the Israeli far-right. He also criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating the Prime Minister has not been sufficiently committed to implementing displacement policies.
