Itamar Shatz discusses science of overcoming procrastination

In his book, ‘Solving Procrastination: The Science of Why We Put Things Off and How to (Finally!) Stop’, social science lecturer at Cambridge University Itamar Shatz argues that procrastination is often misunderstood. Rather than being a modern phenomenon or a sign of laziness, it is a historical struggle that can be overcome by changing one's approach.

Shatz suggests that instead of simply attempting to work harder, individuals should focus on identifying what motivates them. He notes that factors such as perfectionism can contribute to the tendency to delay tasks.
