Itamaraju advances to Intermunicipal second phase after victory

The Itamaraju selection secured a 2-1 victory over Teixeira de Freitas at Estádio Barbosão during the final round of the first phase of the Campeonato Intermunicipal. Despite playing with a mixed squad and facing a defensive lapse that allowed Teixeira de Freitas to equalize, goals from Marcelo Cardoso and Akson secured the win.

Itamaraju finished the group stage as leaders of Group 15 with 16 points, recording five wins and one draw. They enter the second phase with a goal difference of +14, having conceded only one goal in six matches. They are scheduled to face Vitória da Conquista in the next stage.
