Itambé Minas and Sesi Bauru face off in Superliga Masculina opener

Itambé Minas and Sesi Bauru will face each other this Wednesday, the 28th, at 21:00 BRT at Arena UniBH in Belo Horizonte. The match marks the opening round of the 2026/27 Superliga Masculina de Vôlei.

Itambé Minas enters the national competition following a victory in the Campeonato Mineiro, where they defeated Praia Clube. The squad, led by coach Peu, features several players from the Brazilian National Team, including Lucarelli, Honorato, Bryan, and libero Maique.

Sesi Bauru, the 2024/25 Superliga champion, is looking to recover after a disappointing previous season and an early exit from the Campeonato Paulista. Under new coach Marcos Pacheco, the team has introduced reinforcements such as Wagner, Samuel Neufeld, and setter Bruno Alves.
