Novacap delivers new public works across Brazil's Federal District under GDF program

The GDF na Sua Porta programme, launched by Governor Celina Leão, mobilised the Companhia Urbanizadora da Nova Capital (Novacap) to carry out a series of infrastructure upgrades in the Federal District. Investments totalled more than R$ 30 million, covering playground equipment, synthetic‑grass fields, road resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation and new sidewalks.

In the Itapoã administrative region, Novacap installed playground gear in six courts, built bases for new playgrounds, added eight community‑meeting points and completed a synthetic‑grass sports field with a R$ 3.24 million budget. Additional works include a R$ 4.6 million road repaving on Avenida Del Lago, a R$ 400 thousand sidewalk project, a R$ 1.2 million event‑space construction and other civic amenities such as a covered sports court and a public fountain.

In Paranoá, the programme is rebuilding the Sobradinho dos Melos bridge (R$ 2.95 million) and constructing a permanent market (R$ 12.9 million). In Riacho Fundo II, nearly R$ 2 million is being spent to lay 4,906 metres of new sidewalks across the Caub I and Caub II sectors. Local officials highlighted the projects’ expected impact on mobility, safety and quality of life for residents.
