Itaporanga d’Ajuda: Body found following vegetation fire

Firefighters from the Sergipe Military Fire Brigade (CBMSE) discovered a male body following a vegetation fire in the Rio Fundo da Cachoeira village, located in Itaporanga d’Ajuda.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found an extensive burned area and a male body showing signs of rigor mortis and extensive burns on the hands and lower limbs. Local residents indicated that a nearby parked Fiat Siena likely belonged to the victim, though the vehicle's keys were not found at the scene. Witnesses suggested the man was a local landowner residing in Aracaju, but no identification was recovered.

The Military Police secured the area, and criminal forensics teams were called to conduct investigations. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the death.
