Itatiaia Pink October Race rescheduled for October 20 in Penedo

The Itatiaia Pink October Race (Corrida Outubro Rosa de Itatiaia) has been rescheduled to October 20, 2026, in Penedo. Originally planned for October 6, the event will feature a 6 km run and a 3 km walk, with the start and finish located on Rua Resende in the tourist district.

Organized by the Itatiaia City Hall through the municipal secretariats of Health and Sports and Leisure, the event is part of the Pink October program to raise awareness and prevention for breast cancer. Participants are encouraged to engage in physical activity as part of the campaign.

Kit collection has also been moved to October 19, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Quadra do Formigueiro in Penedo. To participate in the social action component, attendees must provide a toy and a package of powdered milk during kit pickup. While the 600 available spots are currently closed for registration, on-site registration may be available on October 19 if vacancies arise due to cancellations.
