ITECO secures tax credit to add advanced welding simulator in Olavarría
The board of the Fundación ITECO (Instituto Tecnológico de Olavarría) met to review enrollment, educational outings, professional practices and program offerings. During the meeting the council approved a fiscal‑credit project developed together with construction firm Loma Negra, allowing the institute to acquire a state‑of‑the‑art welding simulator for virtual, enterprise‑level training. The new equipment will complement an existing excavator simulator and expand technical skill development for both company workers and individual trainees.
The council also toured a refurbished computer lab equipped with 30 donated CPUs from Cementos Avellaneda. Attendees included ITECO president Bernardo Baldino, institute director Diego Cunioli, vice‑director Ana Rodríguez and representatives of the Olavarría industrial park, Cerro Negro and the partnering companies.
