Iter launches AI-driven legaltech startup for tax litigation

The Brazilian legaltech startup Iter has officially launched, focusing on the automation of tax litigation through proprietary artificial intelligence. Founded by lawyer Lucas Barbosa Oliveira, the company aims to transform the cost structure of legal monitoring by using technology to track case portfolios, identify new judicial decisions, and prepare legal drafts in hours rather than days.

The launch took place in São Paulo during the BMS Leaders Table event, which featured a lecture by Minister Luiz Fux regarding legal security and the predictability of precedents. Oliveira, a former lawyer at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, developed the platform over two years to automate workflows he experienced firsthand in the tax sector, combining automation with human supervision.
