ITIFE announces infrastructure repairs for Reynosa schools

The Tamaulipas Institute of Physical Educational Infrastructure (ITIFE) has announced plans to address structural damage at several primary schools in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. During a recent inspection tour, ITIFE Director Sergio Oliverio Castillo Sagástegui identified critical needs at the Emiliano Zapata Primary School in the La Presa neighborhood, where authorities intend to demolish and replace damaged roofing over several classrooms.

In a separate matter, parents at the Roberto César Guzmán Primary School in the Tamaulipas neighborhood have expressed concerns regarding the safety of their children due to the building's deterioration. State officials have proposed an emergency budget of 1.5 million pesos to repair two classrooms and the bathrooms at the facility. While local representatives have facilitated dialogue between the school community and the state government, parents remain cautious about whether these repairs will provide a long-term solution to the structural risks.

Beyond these immediate repairs, ITIFE officials indicated that more than 170 million pesos are projected for the construction of new high school facilities.
