Itiquira Railway Terminal to host R$ 5 billion industrial complex

A proposed R$ 5 billion industrial complex is being planned for the Itiquira Railway Terminal in Mato Grosso, Brazil. The project involves collaboration between local officials, Santa Catarina entrepreneurs, and the American group Javelin.

The initial phase of the investment aims to establish a corn ethanol industry and a fertilizer mixing plant. The development is expected to create approximately 600 direct jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs in the Itiquira region.

State Deputy Ondanir Bortolini and Itiquira Mayor Fabiano Dalla Valle have met with representatives from Javelin and Fertilizantes Catarina to discuss institutional support and tax incentives with the Mato Grosso State Government. The project has already secured land donations from the municipality and holds preliminary licenses for infrastructure implementation.
