ITLA expands technological training in Barahona and Santo Domingo

The Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (ITLA) is expanding its technological training footprint in the Dominican Republic. Senator Moisés Ayala announced that a new ITLA center will begin operations in Barahona this year, utilizing the current Sur Joven facilities. This initiative aims to provide youth in the Enriquillo region with specialized technical training without requiring travel to other provinces.

In Santo Domingo Norte, ITLA rector Jimmy Rosario Bernard announced the delivery of 800 continuing education scholarships. Authorized by President Luis Abinader, these scholarships support the BTI (Bienestar, Triunfo e Impulso) program to assist students from public educational centers. The training covers high-demand fields such as artificial intelligence, software development, and cybersecurity. This expansion brings the total number of scholarships granted by the government through ITLA to 37,025.
