Itochu Techno-Solutions launches AI-powered cybersecurity SOC service

Itochu Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC) has launched the ‘CTC-MSS AI SOC service powered by Exaforce’ in Japan. Utilizing the Exaforce Agentic SOC Platform from U.S.-based Exaforce, Inc., the service uses AI agents to automate security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and the presentation of response plans.

The service aims to alleviate the workload of Security Operations Centers (SOC) and Managed Security Services (MSS) by automating routine verification and investigation tasks. By correlating logs and configuration data from multiple devices, the AI agents can detect complex threats that are difficult to identify through single alerts. According to Exaforce, the platform has demonstrated the ability to reduce false positives by 90% and shorten average alert investigation times by 95% in previous implementations.

This launch addresses the growing complexity of cyberattacks and a significant shortage of cybersecurity professionals in Japan, which is estimated to be approximately 110,000 people. CTC plans to expand its service menu in the future to include investigations by its own security specialist teams and support for preventing the spread of damage.
