Itri promotes local culture and traditional products
The municipality of Itri is launching new initiatives to promote local culture, traditions, and agricultural heritage.
For the 2026/2027 season, Teatro Fellini aims to become a year-round cultural hub. The programming, presented by local officials and artistic directors, includes the Teatro Fellini Academy for music and acting, the creation of the Teatro Fellini Theater Company, and various educational activities for families. The theatrical season is scheduled to begin on October 18 with a performance by Matteo Cirillo.
Simultaneously, the local administration is focusing on revitalizing the territory through its traditional food products. Efforts are being made to highlight Itri’s agro-alimentary identity, including Itrana olives and oil, local veal (Vitellone), and historical grape varieties such as Abbuoto. These initiatives, including events like ‘Monna Oliva’, seek to use local culinary and rural traditions as resources for tourism and economic development.
