ITS Academy La Spezia upgrades technology labs with 3 million euro PNRR investment

The ITS Academy in La Spezia has completed a major modernization and expansion of its facilities using over 3 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The investment facilitated the opening of a new technological campus in Via Pianagrande and the functional reorganization of the historic Via Doria site.

The new Via Pianagrande location features five specialized laboratories focused on mechanical design, mechatronics, industrial automation, ICT-ERP systems, and advanced manufacturing. Students have access to professional CAD and CAM software, collaborative robots, CNC machine tools, 3D printers, and augmented reality technologies.

Additionally, the renovations at the Via Doria site have enhanced the economic and logistics tracks through the creation of a Logistics 4.0 laboratory, designed to simulate modern warehouse management, including receiving, storage, and order preparation.
