ITS Academy technical training expands in Italy

New technical training initiatives and oversight are emerging within the ITS Academy system in Italy. In Modena, an open day is scheduled for September 22 to present the ‘ITS Yellow’ course. This specialized program focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy plant management, and the energy transition, aiming to provide technical skills in energy consumption analysis and building efficiency to meet growing industrial demand.

In the Emilia-Romagna region, regional councilor Giancarlo Tagliaferri of Fratelli d'Italia has filed an inquiry regarding the 2026/2027 ITS Academy programming. Following the close of applications on September 2, Tagliaferri is seeking details on which training paths have been proposed for the Piacenza territory. The inquiry aims to identify specific professional sectors involved, such as agrifood, viticulture, mechatronics, and logistics, to ensure educational offerings align with local production needs. The regional program is supported by 20 million euros from the FSE+ 2021-2027 program alongside national resources.
