Its Tech&Food Academy launches Agri Tech and Smart Quality courses in Italy

The Its Tech&Food Academy, supported by the Emilia‑Romagna regional council and the Italian Ministry of Education, has introduced two new two‑year training pathways for the agro‑food sector. The Agri Tech program will be based in Reggio Emilia, while the Smart Quality 4 Food course will run in Parma. Both courses combine classroom instruction, laboratory work and up to 800 hours of on‑site internships, and they are offered free of charge to students starting in November 2026.

In parallel, the Lombardy regional agency ERSAF has launched a new online column, “Agricoltura e Innovazione,” on the Ruminantia platform. Directed by Dr. Silvia Motta, the series will showcase projects, tools and research that promote sustainable, digital and competitive agriculture across the region, covering topics such as soil fertility, water management, carbon farming and animal welfare.
