ITSNCG students to represent Mexico in Mars Challenge 2026

Students from the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Nuevo Casas Grandes (ITSNCG) will represent Mexico in the 2026 Mars Challenge International Final in Getafe, Spain. The team, known as Mars Matrix, secured the top spot in the national ranking for this innovation and technological development competition.

The group developed the MYCO (Máquina Inyectora de Cultivos Orgánicos), an organic crop injector machine, under the technical guidance of advisor Luis Alberto Grijalva. The international organization Virtual Educa confirmed their participation following evaluation periods in July and September.

The global phase of the competition is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 5, 2026, where the Mexican delegation will compete against teams from various other countries.
