Ittihad Tanger wins 3-1 against Amal Tiznit to open Botola Pro season

Ittihad Tanger began their 2026-2027 Moroccan Botola Pro season with a 3-1 victory against Amal Tiznit at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia. Saad Ait El Kharsa opened the scoring for Ittihad Tanger in the 9th minute, but Amal Tiznit equalized through Sofiane El Azhari during first-half stoppage time.

In the second half, Abdelhamid Maali restored the lead for Ittihad Tanger in the 47th minute, followed by a third goal from Ibrahim Dieng in the 55th minute. The win secures the first three points of the season for the Tangier-based club.

The victory comes amid high expectations for Ittihad Tanger under coach Abdelhak Benchikha. After a turbulent previous season, the club aims for greater stability and improved performance, supported by summer transfer reinforcements and the technical continuity provided by Benchikha, who has been with the team since March 2026.
