IturanMob joins BEN BUILDERS international urban mobility challenge

The BEN BUILDERS international mobility challenge recently held its Brazilian stage in São Paulo at AYA Earth Partners. The event brought together ten student teams to develop innovative proposals for the future of urban mobility using the BEN electric vehicle as a foundation.

Participants used LEGO pieces to create 1:21 scale replicas of the vehicle, presenting ideas focused on connectivity, vehicle sharing, transport integration, and urban sustainability. The initiative was organized by the Center for Engineering and Product Development (CEiiA) from Portugal in partnership with IturanMob, the mobility division of Ituran.

A key component of the project involves the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and telemetry. The BEN vehicle utilizes IturanMob’s technological infrastructure and AYR® technology, which enables the real-time quantification of avoided CO₂ emissions. This allows movement data to be converted into measurable environmental indicators, demonstrating how telemetry can support environmental intelligence and sustainable electric mobility.
