ITV announces Britain's Got Talent return and discusses X Factor revival

ITV has confirmed several major updates to its entertainment lineup. Britain's Got Talent will return for its 20th series in 2027, featuring the existing judging panel of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI. To mark the milestone, a special six-part series titled ‘Britain's Got Talent: The Champions’ will air in autumn 2027, bringing together past winners and fan favorites from the global franchise.

Additionally, presenters Ant & Dec are set to bring the extreme crazy golf show ‘Holey Moley’ to the UK in early 2027.

Separately, reports indicate that ITV and Talkback Thames are in discussions regarding a potential revival of The X Factor. After a seven-year hiatus, executives are considering a revamped format with a younger judging panel designed to appeal to social media audiences, potentially with Simon Cowell involved in a behind-the-scenes capacity.
