ITV releases trailer for Luke Evans thriller ‘The Party’

ITV has released a first-look trailer for its upcoming five-part thriller series, ‘The Party’, scheduled to premiere this October on ITV and ITVX. Based on the 2017 novel by Elizabeth Day, the drama explores the complex, decades-long friendship between Martin Gilmour, a working-class journalist played by Luke Evans, and Ben Fitzmaurice, a wealthy politician portrayed by Tom Cullen.

The trailer depicts tense moments following a shooting at a party venue, featuring a blood-soaked Evans being interrogated by police. The narrative structure moves between the investigation and flashbacks to the characters' shared history from school through their adult lives in London. The series explores themes of betrayal, secrets, and the impact of past events on the characters' present lives.

Luke Evans and Sarah Solemani serve as executive producers. The cast also includes Joanna Scanlan, Lydia Leonard, Lindsay Duncan, and Douglas Hodge. Solemani also stars in the series as Lucy Gilmour.
