ITVX logs 200 million World Cup streams as ITV posts solid H1 2026 results

ITV’s streaming service ITVX recorded more than 200 million streams of FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage, with a peak of nearly 5 million concurrent live streams during England’s match against Norway. July 2026 saw ITVX deliver 436 million total streams, a 30 percent increase year‑on‑year, and generate 102 million onward on‑demand streams across other genres.

In the first half of 2026 ITV reported £1.9 billion in revenue and adjusted EBITA of £145 million, a modest rise from the previous year. Advertising revenue grew 8 percent, driven by strong demand linked to the World Cup, but the group absorbed a £20 million loss from new UK regulations restricting junk‑food advertising. ITV Studios is slated to be spun off as an independent listed company, and the broadcaster highlighted the continued growth of its flagship reality title, Love Island, among other successful productions.
