Itziar Urtasun receives surprise tribute during Bilbao's Aste Nagusia

Itziar Urtasun, a long-serving municipal official in Bilbao, received a surprise tribute during the Aste Nagusia festivals. Urtasun, who has been a city councilor since 2007, was met by family, friends, and colleagues at the Gogorregi txosna before the final ceremonies.

During the event, Urtasun's daughter, Amets Bañales Urtasun, delivered a speech highlighting her mother's dedication and professional commitment. This marks Urtasun's final Aste Nagusia, as she nears the end of her current mandate after two decades of continuous service in the Bilbao City Council, having held various roles in areas such as Cooperation, Coexistence, Human Rights, and Citizen Services.
