Iurreta City Council launches community meeting and learning spaces

The Iurreta City Council has announced its new “Meeting and Learning Spaces” program for the 2026/2027 academic year. Coordinated by the Social Welfare and Immigration departments, the initiative aims to strengthen community cohesion, promote equal opportunities, and foster intercultural coexistence through mutual support networks.

Key components of the program include activities from the Women's Empowerment School, such as the “Gu be bai Runners” project, which focuses on physical and emotional well-being through group sports. Additionally, the “Women's Encounter: Talents and Opportunities” workshop, funded by Zabaltzen-Sartu and the Basque Government, will offer sessions on self-care and support networks. Other offerings include the “Dantza Fitness” aerobic workshop.
