Eighteen-year-old American tennis player Iva Jovic has successfully defended her title at the WTA 500 Guadalajara Open. In the final, Jovic defeated compatriot Peyton Stearns with a score of 6-4, 6-2.

Jovic made history as the first player to win the Guadalajara tournament twice. Her championship run was notable for its dominance, as she did not drop a single set throughout the entire tournament. This victory has propelled her to a career-high world ranking of 13th.

Prominent tennis coach Rick Macci has expressed high expectations for Jovic, predicting she will break into the top 10 by the end of the year and reach the top 5 by 2027, potentially winning multiple Grand Slam titles in the future.
