During an appearance on the Rai2 program ‘Bella Ma’’, singer Iva Zanicchi shared a lighthearted anecdote regarding her communication with Stefano De Martino, the artistic director of the Sanremo Music Festival.

While discussing her career and her decision not to compete in the festival again following her 2022 appearance, host Pierluigi Diaco asked Zanicchi how she would react if De Martino invited her as an honorary guest. Zanicchi revealed that she had already sent De Martino a message recently but had not yet received a reply, jokingly calling out to him on air by saying, “Stefano, answer me. You have to answer me, because I sent you a message and you have to answer me.”

Diaco joined in the joke, announcing to the live audience that Zanicchi had revealed De Martino’s lack of response, to which Zanicchi clarified that she had only sent the message the previous night.
