Ivaiporã dog attack results in death of smaller pet

A pitbull escaped from a backyard in the Jardim Nova Porã neighborhood of Ivaiporã on Tuesday afternoon, attacking and killing a smaller dog in a neighboring residence.

The smaller dog was alone at the time of the incident. Although police attempted to transport the animal to a veterinary hospital, it was already dead upon arrival.

The Military Police responded to the occurrence and registered the case as omission of caution in animal custody. A formal report was filed against the owner of the pitbull, who was at work during the attack.
