IVAM announces 2026-2027 programming with new design focus

The Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM) has unveiled its public, educational, and family programming for the 2026-2027 academic year. A central feature of the new schedule is the integration of design as a research area through the ‘IVAM + Diseño’ program, organized in collaboration with the Fundación Banco Sabadell. This initiative will include a cycle of meetings and a working group composed of architects, artists, students, and young designers.

To enhance engagement with its permanent collection, the museum is launching several initiatives, including ‘Efecto cadena’ featuring artists Fermín Jiménez Landa, José Luis Clemente, and Mijo Miquel, as well as ‘Colección 84,’ a monthly cycle of curatorial visits.

The museum is also expanding its family-oriented offerings. This includes the transformation of IVAMLab2 into an artistic play space inspired by the Albufera ecosystem, designed by artist Reyes Pe for children aged 0 to 4. Additionally, a new program titled ‘Manos y nanas’ will offer music, poetry, and storytelling specifically for pregnant women and newborns.
