Ivan Bosiljčić recounts life-changing 1997 bus accident

Actor Ivan Bosiljčić has recounted a life-altering traffic accident that occurred in 1997 near Užice. Following a performance at the Užice Old Town, a minibus carrying the cast and crew plunged into a ravine.

Bosiljčić described the harrowing moment the vehicle teetered on the edge of a cliff above a river. He noted that while some passengers panicked, the women remained remarkably composed to ensure children could exit safely. The driver insisted on being the last to leave the vehicle to facilitate a controlled evacuation through the front doors.

The accident occurred on the religious holiday of Velika Gospojina. Bosiljčić, who views the event as a spiritual turning point, considers his survival a miracle and treats the anniversary of the date as a second birthday.
