Ivan Busic releases second solo blues album “Into the Blues”

Brazilian rock veteran Ivan Busic, founder and former vocalist of Dr. Sin, launched his second solo album “Into the Blues” on Thursday, 31 August 2026. The record, issued by ForMusic Records and available for pre‑sale through the Wikimetal Store, marks a personal tribute to his late father André Busic and reflects Busic’s lifelong immersion in blues and jazz.

Recorded entirely on analog equipment, the album blends classic blues influences—from B. B. King and Muddy Waters to Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac era—with Busic’s hard‑rock sensibility. He wrote more than ten songs in a week, enlisting his brother Andria Busic on bass and João Nogueira on keyboards. In an interview Busic said the project “transits between memory and instinct” and described the blues as “the pulse that has always under‑pinned everything I do.”

To celebrate the release, Busic will perform the new material alongside classic blues covers at the Blue Note in São Paulo on Saturday, 1 September 2026.
