Ivan Cordoba backs Inter Milan's ambition and eyes John Stones signing

Former Inter defender Ivan Cordoba told La Gazzetta dello Sport that the club remains "strong and decisive towards its objectives" and that players wear the Inter shirt to win every match, without sacrificing the league for Europe. He praised the current squad’s mentality and highlighted the club’s historic drive to compete on all fronts.

Cordoba also discussed transfer targets, calling the free‑agent centre‑back John Stones “a big market opportunity – a ‘big hit on Marotta’ if the deal is favourable.” He added that signing Cristian Romero would be “a great addition” to strengthen the defense alongside Cristian Chivu’s influence.

The comments suggest Inter will continue to pursue top‑level talent while maintaining its competitive focus across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
