Ivan Gudelj played final Hajduk Split match on this day
On this day in 1986, legendary midfielder Ivan Gudelj played his final match for Hajduk Split. During a 1-1 draw against Crvena Zvezda at the Poljud Stadium, the 26-year-old captain suffered a sudden leg injury in the 75th minute.
Following the injury, Gudelj was substituted for Adamović. The departure was met with boos from the crowd, a moment noted in his biography by Blaž Duplančić. Gudelj never returned to professional football after this appearance.
