Ivan Gunawan finds authentic acting role in new film

Actor and designer Ivan Gunawan has expressed that his role in the new Falcon Pictures film, ‘Ibu, Bagaimana Aku Tanpamu’, represents a significant milestone in his 25-year entertainment career. Gunawan stated that this project is the first time he feels he has truly engaged in the acting process, providing him with an opportunity to explore emotional depths and natural performance styles.

Gunawan portrays Prince, a successful fashion designer, a role he noted is closely aligned with his real-life profession. This connection allowed him to bring authenticity to the character. His co-star, Marsha Timothy, plays Stella, Prince’s assistant. To prepare for the role, Timothy studied fashion design techniques, including fabric selection and cutting, directly from Gunawan on set to ensure a convincing portrayal of the character’s professional responsibilities.
