Ivan Gunawan to design Indonesia's 2026 Asian Para Games uniforms

Fashion designer Ivan Gunawan has been officially appointed to design the defile uniforms for the Indonesian contingent at the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The uniforms will be worn during the opening ceremony on October 18, 2026, at the Paloma Mizuho Stadium.

The design theme is titled ‘Sekar Jagad Vijaya’. Gunawan incorporated Madurese batik patterns into the design, combining the ‘Sekar Jagad’ motif with ‘Vijaya’, a term symbolizing victory. The designer expressed his intention for the motif to serve as motivation for athletes to pursue gold medals.

Senny Marbun, Chairperson of the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPC Indonesia), noted that the selection was an initiative by Chef de Mission Reda Manthovani. Measurement processes for the athletes have already commenced. The Indonesian contingent is scheduled to travel to Japan via government-chartered flights.
