Ivan Lins performs 80th anniversary concert in Vitória

Brazilian popular music icon Ivan Lins is performing a special concert titled ‘Ivan Lins – 80 Anos’ in Vitória this Saturday at Espaço Patrick Ribeiro. The performance, which he developed alongside his son Claudio Lins, serves as a musical retrospective of his five-decade career.

The repertoire includes major hits such as ‘Madalena’, ‘Começar de Novo’, ‘Abre Alas’, and ‘Bandeira do Divino’. The show blends elements of samba, jazz, bossa nova, and soul. Lins noted that the selection of songs focuses on themes of love, country, and hope, aiming to provide a positive experience for the audience.

With a career spanning over 800 compositions, Lins’ work has been recorded by international artists including Quincy Jones, George Benson, and Barbra Streisand. Additionally, his personal archive has been donated to the Institute of Brazilian Studies at the University of São Paulo (IEB-USP).
