Ivan Ljubičić appointed as coach for Felix Auger-Aliassime
Ivan Ljubičić, the former world No. 3 and long-time coach to Roger Federer, is returning to the ATP Tour as the new coach for Felix Auger-Aliassime. The 47-year-old Croatian returns to coaching after a four-year hiatus.
Auger-Aliassime, currently ranked fifth in the world, recently parted ways with his previous coach, Frederic Fontang. While Ljubičić takes on this new role to support the Canadian player, he is expected to retain his current position as a special advisor to the French Tennis Federation (FFT).
Ljubičić’s coaching background includes assisting Federer in winning three Grand Slams and four Masters titles between 2017 and 2022. This move comes as Auger-Aliassime seeks to improve his performance following recent losses, including a defeat to Karen Khachanov in Beijing.
