Ivan Mićić appointed captain as RK Partizan returns to EHF Champions League

Ivan Mićić, a 2000‑born handball player who first watched RK Partizan play in the EHF Champions League as a child, has been named the club’s captain. The appointment comes as Partizan re‑enters the elite European competition for the first time in over a decade, with the team slated to face Veszprém, Füchse Berlin and Porto in a tough group.

Mićić said the captain’s armband is “a great honour and responsibility,” adding that he is eager to motivate the squad, win domestic trophies and deliver strong performances for the home fans in Belgrade. Season tickets for the 2026/27 campaign are already on sale.

The club’s management highlighted the significant roster changes and professionalization that have strengthened the side, expressing confidence that the team can compete with Europe’s best clubs.
