Ivan Miroshnichenko attracts NHL trade interest

Multiple NHL teams are reportedly monitoring the status of Washington Capitals forward Ivan Miroshnichenko due to the team's depth at the position. The 22-year-old, a former 2022 first-round pick, has struggled to secure a regular spot in the lineup, appearing in only one game this season.

Miroshnichenko recently drew significant attention during his limited ice time against the Montreal Canadiens, where he scored a goal and delivered a notable hit on Juraj Slafkovsky. His performance earned praise from head coach Spencer Carbery.

Because Miroshnichenko is no longer waivers-exempt, any potential move would require formal processes. Teams identified as having interest include the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, and Calgary Flames.
