Ivan Stoillkoviq faces call for investigative commission and parliamentary interpellation

Parliamentary groups BDI and LSDM have submitted an initiative to the Assembly demanding the formation of an investigative commission to examine the incident involving Minister of Local Self‑Government Ivan Stoillkoviq that occurred on the day of the government's reconstruction and his appointment. The commission would be tasked with establishing the chronology of the event and the conduct of all persons involved, including access to official video recordings that have been refused.

BDI deputy Bekim Rexhepi said, “Zoti Gashi was present in the Assembly when the incident happened… we will insist that this case be clarified as quickly as possible so it does not happen again.” LSDM leader Venko Filipçe added that an interpellation will be presented against Stoillkoviq once the Assembly reconvenes in September. Stoillkoviq denied any wrongdoing, calling the accusations “fabricated” and stating he had no physical contact with deputy Arbana Pasholli.

The move reflects heightened parliamentary scrutiny of ministerial conduct and a demand for transparency in the newly formed government.
