Ivan Zazzaroni criticizes Giuseppe Marotta and Massimiliano Allegri

Journalist Ivan Zazzaroni, director of Corriere dello Sport, has issued sharp critiques regarding key figures in Italian football. In a letter addressed to Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta, Zazzaroni challenged Marotta’s stance on the role of Lega Serie A within the Italian football hierarchy. Zazzaroni questioned whether Marotta’s position reflects a “feudal” approach, arguing that the interests of individual clubs should not supersede the collective system and the FIGC.

Separately, Zazzaroni commented on Massimiliano Allegri’s recent expulsion during the Napoli-Roma match. He suggested the coach was acting out of frustration following a late equalizer and contested the referee's decision to send him off. Zazzaroni also addressed Allegri’s comments regarding Champions League qualification, stating that the coach bears personal responsibility for past failures in that competition.
