On the 18th anniversary of the murder of Ivana Hodak, actress Jelena Perčin has shared emotional recollections of her best friend’s final moments. The tragedy occurred on October 6, 2008, in the center of Zagreb, in a building on Hatzova Street.

Ivana Hodak, the 26-year-old daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister Ljerka Mintas Hodak and lawyer Zvonimir Hodak, was found fatally wounded by her mother. It was later determined that Ivana was pregnant at the time of her death.

Perčin recalled a seemingly insignificant comment made by Hodak the night before the crime, regarding seeing the same car frequently in the Šestine area. Perčin described the profound shock and lasting impact the event had on those who knew her.
