Ivana Perić reunites with biological family after decades

HRT journalist Ivana Perić has shared the emotional story of her adoption and her eventual reunion with her biological family. Born prematurely in Mostar, Perić was left at a hospital by her biological mother and spent her first months in a children's home in Sarajevo. At 13 months old, she was adopted by a family from Sisak.

Nearly 20 years ago, a professional assignment in Mostar prompted Perić to investigate her origins. During this process, she met her biological brothers and sister. Most notably, she reunited with her biological father, who had lived for many years believing his daughter had died during childbirth. Perić stated that facing her past helped her find inner peace and has had a positive impact on her well-being.
