Ivanka Dineva dismissed as Director of Medical Supervision

Ivanka Dineva has been dismissed from her position as Director of the Executive Agency Medical Supervision in Bulgaria. The Ministry of Health confirmed that her departure is due to personal reasons.

Dineva had previously returned to the leadership role in June following the dismissal of Dr. Atanas Atanasov. Her tenure was focused on several key objectives, including accelerating digitalization processes within the agency, improving control activities, and optimizing the management of inspections.

A major priority during her term was the advancement of international cooperation regarding organ donation and transplantation. This included efforts to facilitate lung transplants for Bulgarian patients through partnerships with leading European transplantation centers to expand access to highly specialized medical treatment.
