Ivanna Lisette Ortiz indicted for attempted murder in Rihanna home shooting
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 36, has been indicted by a Los Angeles County grand jury on 14 felony counts following a shooting at the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky in March. The charges include one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with an assault weapon, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.
Ortiz was declared mentally fit to stand trial after several months of psychiatric evaluations. She has entered a plea of not guilty and is being held on $2.6 million bail. If convicted, she faces a potential sentence of up to life in prison.
The incident occurred when Ortiz allegedly drove from Orlando to the couple's property and fired at least 20 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle. At the time, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their children were on the premises. Bullets struck the couple's Airstream camper, the home, and a neighbor's house, though no injuries were reported. Damage was also documented to a nursery wall where the children were located.
