Ivano Tadić wins historic motorcycle race in Spain
Fourteen-year-old Croatian motorcyclist Ivano Tadić achieved a historic victory in the MIR Racing Aspar Cup – Promo3 category in Spain. This marks a significant milestone for Croatian road racing, as no Croatian rider has previously secured a win at this level of international junior competition.
Tadić secured the win in the first race after qualifying in third place. Although he initially crossed the finish line in second place, trailing by 0.032 seconds, the leader was subsequently penalized for exceeding track limits, promoting Tadić to first.
In the second race, Tadić was again contending for the lead but suffered a crash during the final lap due to a braking error while the motorcycle was leaned over. He was noted for his maturity in acknowledging the mistake immediately following the incident.
