Ivanovice na Hané railway services recover after signaling fire

Following a fire in a signaling relay room in Ivanovice na Hané on August 19, the Czech Railway Administration (Správa železnic) has installed a mobile signaling module to restore train operations. This temporary solution allows trains to pass each other at the station again, significantly increasing capacity on the busy line between Brno and Přerov.

Prior to this installation, the station was restricted to single-track operation, limiting capacity to only two trains per hour. While regional express services (rychlíky) from operators such as České dráhy and RegioJet are returning to normal service, some delays of 10 to 40 minutes may still occur, particularly on routes toward Ostrava.

Two of the three railway crossings affected by the fire are now functional, though one remains under speed restrictions. Some passenger train services continue to be replaced by substitute buses, specifically on the S71 line between Vyškov and Nezamyslice. The Railway Administration has noted that a permanent new signaling system will eventually need to be constructed at the site.
