Ivaylo Mirchev criticizes Radev administration over instability

Ivaylo Mirchev, co-chairman of Da, Bulgaria and a leader within the Democratic Bulgaria coalition, has issued sharp criticisms regarding the current administration under Rumen Radev. Mirchev claims the government is fostering instability across foreign policy, internal security, and the national budget.

Regarding foreign policy, Mirchev accused the government of withdrawing Bulgaria from important international formats using questionable arguments related to Orthodoxy and Slavic identity. He also noted that the administration rejected foreign assistance following an explosion at the EMKO ammunition plant, despite intelligence reports suggesting Russian involvement.

On economic matters, Mirchev warned of significant uncertainty for the middle class, citing a proposed budget with a 5.7% deficit. He further alleged that business networks linked to influential figures continue to dominate public procurement processes, hindering genuine efforts to combat oligarchy.
