IVBAM to host second Maratona das Artes & Ofícios in Madeira

The Institute of Wine, Embroidery, and Handicrafts of Madeira (IVBAM) will host the second edition of the Maratona das Artes & Ofícios on September 19. The event is scheduled to take place from 10:00 to 18:00 in an informal, outdoor format at the IVBAM building courtyard on Rua 5 de Outubro.

The program includes live demonstrations, practical workshops led by creators, music, exhibitions, and the sale of artisanal products. The initiative aims to introduce younger generations to traditional Madeiran techniques and provide closer contact between the public and regional professionals. Additionally, the permanent exhibition and shop of the Traditional Arts and Crafts Space of Madeira will be open to the public for free viewing.
